Preface
The bras band has grown a lot lately. With a corps of 65 musicians, we can say that the furture of the brass band "Vrije Kunstkring" is ensured! We have developed into one big family where "friendship" and "pleasure" are important factors.
Music is a little piece of culture we get in touch with daily.

Brakel
The Flemish Ardennes is one of the most picturesque region of Flanders.
The undulating scenery with its villages hidden in the wood-surrounded valleys, makes walking and cycling very attractive. A walk in the nice "Brakel-Wood" may be suitably rounded off in one of the shady outdoor cafés cordially inviting the thirsty walker to have a delicious local beer. -
History
Albert D'Haeyer started his musical carreer in 1953 in Brakel (Belgium) as a member of the Royal Harmony "De Eendracht", and became also director of this organisation afterwards. In 1964 he ends his coorporation with this harmony. His departure originated in a new band, was called "Vrije Kunstkring".
